Many of my past patients in a recovery facility years ago, shared that during the first few weeks of their recovery and detox from substances, they had horrible, vivid and scary dreams. Many people like these rely on substances to sleep faster.
These substances though can help may affect the quality of your sleep, affecting directly REM sleep.
